Programs built from the CAD model and the print, away from the machine, so measurement capacity never stops for programming and the program is waiting when the parts arrive.
On-site has distinct advantages. Offline earns its keep in a different set of situations:
New part numbers on the way, prints in hand. The program gets written now and proven out the day parts show up, instead of starting from zero.
A CMM running production all shift has no window for program development. Offline work adds productivity without subtracting measurement capacity.
A new CMM on order is the best time to build the part program library. Install day becomes prove-out day, not day one of programming.
Revision changes across a family of programs are efficient offline work: batch the updates, deliver them together, prove out in one pass.
The CAD model, the print, the machine make and software version, the probe and rack configuration, how the part is fixtured, and we handle the rest.
Written to run on your software version and machine envelope so it loads clean, with the GD&T handled the way the print calls it, not (necessarily) the way the defaults report it.
The program arrives with notes: alignment strategy, probe requirements, anything the prove-out should watch for.
Your team can run the prove-out from the delivered notes, or contract The CMM Programmer to arrive on-site and finish it at the machine. That second option is the hybrid, and it is the part a remote-only programming house can't offer.
CAD does not capture fixture reality, probe clearances, or how a surface actually behaves under the stylus. Every offline program, from anyone, needs a prove-out on the real machine before production trusts it. The difference here is that the prove-out is planned for instead of glossed over: documented delivery for your team to run, or on-site completion by the programmer who wrote it.
Offline programming is fully supported for PC-DMIS and CMM-Manager, written against your version so the program loads without translation drama. Calypso programs for Zeiss machines are written offline as well. MODUS, MeasureMind, MeasureMax, and other packages are handled case by case, depending on each software's offline seat arrangements.
$125 per hour, with no travel time and no travel expenses on the invoice. The day rate applies to larger program libraries, published in full on the pricing page.
You can send us the details or start with a conversation. Either way, we are here to help! If you're ready for a quote, shoot us over the CAD, the print, and the machine details. A follow-up comes back with a quote and a delivery window.
