Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the largest aerospace and defense manufacturing concentrations in the country, from OEM final assembly and major defense programs through the precision supply base that supports them. We write and prove out programs at your machine, at your location, using your already-approved equipment, on your schedule.
The Fort Worth side of the metroplex is home to major rotorcraft and fixed-wing programs, with billions of dollars in active facility investment and a defense manufacturing corridor that stretches south through Arlington and Mansfield. The Dallas side carries a concentration of defense electronics, avionics, and systems integration work, plus a precision machining base running from Irving and Grand Prairie north through Garland, Plano and Lewisville.
What ties all of it together is dimensional accountability. Whether the part is a flight-critical assembly or a machined bracket shipping to a prime contractor, somebody downstream is going to check the numbers. The CMM program behind those numbers has to be right, it has to be repeatable, and it has to produce a record that answers the questions before they get asked.
That is true at every level of the supply chain, from OEM quality labs running hundreds of part numbers down to a twenty-person shop proving out its first aerospace contract. The CMM Programmer works across that full range.
A large OEM facility may need an extra programmer for a surge, a new program launch, or coverage while someone is out. A mid-size supplier may need a week of first article builds before a production run ships. A smaller shop winning its first defense contract may need a program written from scratch and a prove-out run with someone who has done it before.
We have the knowledge and know-how to help in all three. Bringing the programming experience, we work on your equipment and inside your quality system, and we leave behind programs that are written to run in production, not just to produce a first article report and sit in a folder.
We also pick up ongoing coverage when a shop's programmer leaves and the backlog starts growing. Coverage runs hourly or daily, scaled to whatever the current workload looks like.
Our services can help customers all across the metroplex. The defense manufacturing corridor running through Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield and the mid-cities, and the precision machining base stretching north through Irving, Grand Prairie, Garland, Plano and Lewisville all get the same answer when they call: if you need us there, we're on our way.
Multi-day visits can be shared across facilities to help split the travel expenses and keep costs lower. We work with you to make the most sense of your workload, schedule, and budget.
New part programs written and proven out at the machine
An experienced contract programmer on your floor when the need arises, hourly or daily
First article dimensional reports built to satisfy your customer's quality requirements
Custom training on your parts, your probing, and your version
$125 per hour and $950 per day, the same rates as everywhere else in the country.
We write and prove out the PC-DMIS program on the actual part and fixture at your machine, then run the first article with you so the dimensional report, the balloon drawing, and the characteristic accountability all line up before the data package goes to your customer for approval.
The goal is a clean first article submission, not a round of questions from the receiving quality department about how a datum was established or why a characteristic is missing.
Scheduling in the DFW area usually runs one to two weeks out for a planned multi-day visit, and sometimes sooner when an existing trip to Texas can be extended, since a DFW swing can attach to work already booked elsewhere in the state or region.
Urgent situations are worth a call regardless. We arrange travel around your dates the very best we can.
Contract CMM programming benefits shops across the full range, from large OEM facilities that need an extra programmer for a launch or a surge, through mid-size suppliers running first article builds before a production run ships, down to smaller shops proving out a new aerospace contract for the first time.
We scale to the work: a single prove-out, a week of first article builds, or ongoing coverage when a programmer leaves and the backlog starts building.
Validation of a new CMM program for production inspection is always your decision and your record, because you own the quality system that defines what evidence is sufficient to release a program into regulated production use, and that judgment cannot be delegated to an outside programmer.
We prove out programs at the machine, and we can support first article runs, correlation checks and repeatability studies during the visit. But the final judgment that the program is fit to run production stays where your quality system puts it.
Tell us about the machine, the parts, and the timeline. We will do our very best to plan around your dates, and it costs nothing to talk it through first. When a quote is the next step, a follow-up comes back with timing and a straightforward number.
